Happy Buddhas

I collect Happy Buddhas and have done so for a little while now. I have a number of ornaments and pendants. I even have a tattoo of a Happy Buddha on my upper left arm.

Baking

I bake a lot. I started to make my own cakes when I was diagnosed with Gluten Intolerance. Now I make biscuits, pies, yorkshire puddings and anything else that takes my fancy. I really enjoy it -- and so do the rest of the family!

Reading

I love to read and always have a book on the go. Having read The Flashman Papers and Patrick O'Brian's wonderful Master & Commander cycle, I'm now reading Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series. Whatever I'm reading, I'm usually waiting impatiently for the new Terry Pratchett novel. I read some 'net based fic too, including fanfic and web serials.

Old Time Radio

I'm a big fan of Old Time Radio shows; classic British comedy and other old shows from around the world.

And the rest

I listen to a lot of music and have decidedly eclectic tastes; everything from Dean Martin to The Androids! Despite a complete lack of musical ability, I learned to play the Ukulele and now play the Pickin' Stick. I paint in watercolours, not very well but I paint all the same, and I make my own greetings cards. I don't watch a great deal of TV but I do enjoy telefantasy shows like Stargate and the sadly frelled Farscape.
